What is the area of responsibility of a computer scientist?
Computer scientists with the focus on system technology are amongst others specialists for the construction, operation and maintenance of information systems and computer networks. At Nine, computer scientists are responsible for the server systems - from small web servers to large cluster systems with more than 50 nodes.
Which requirements must the computer scientist meet?
The following requirements and characteristics are necessary for successful training:
- Secondary school qualifications (Swiss educational system: Sekundarschule A/E, Bezirksschule)
- Good marks
- Ability to reason and analytical rationalness
- Ability to familiarise yourself with complex environments in an independent manner
- High motivation for work - possibly also outside of regular office hours
- Interest in using new technologies
- Independence
- Team-minded
- Successfully passed aptitude test
