Network
Nine operates its own independent network under the autonomous system AS29691 and is a full member of RIPE. In this capacity, it is authorised to acquire its own IP addresses and has the freedom to determine the upstream partners. Nine is listed at the Swiss Internet Exchange and has agreements with a large number of providers for direct data exchange (peering). These ensure high-speed direct connections with a low degree of latency to Swiss providers. The upstream partners provide additional connections. These connections ensure that Nine can guarantee that the connection of each server system to the Internet has a bandwidth of 100 Mbps each as the total capacity is many times higher.
