POP3, IMAP, web mail and SMTP
You can retrieve your POP3 e-mail, or manage it with IMAP. Unlike POP, IMAP allows you to keep mail, including your directory structure, on the server. Access your mail at any time, from any place – work or home. With web mail, all you need is a computer with Internet access.
Add or change e-mail accounts over the web. The number of accounts, addresses and aliases is limited only by your available web space.
If you’re on the road often with a laptop, you can send mail using our SMTP server. This service is independent of your Internet service provider, and saves you the time and headache of reconfiguring your e-mail program.
All POP3, IMAP and SMTP services included with our Web Hosting offer the security of SSL encryption.
Spam and virus protection
A fully configurable spam and virus shield filters and excludes unwanted e-mail. Infected mails can be inspected and deleted by web mail without putting your own PC at risk.
FTP user accounts
Define your own FTP user accounts for a sub-domain on your website. This allows, for example, a clever use of your website for file transfer among named users without jeopardizing sensitive passwords. Our Enterprise Hosting enables access over SFTP only, a control panel to manage FTP user accounts is optional available.
PHP and Perl
All our Web Hosting products include pre-installed scripting software. PEAR/PECL and CPAN are also supported. Additional scripting software may be installed via Enterprise Hosting.
phpMyAdmin
You can administer your MySQL databases over the web easily with phpMyAdmin.
Data backup
Your entire website and all e-mails are backed up daily and archived for at least 7 days. If, by mistake, you lose or destroy your hosted data, we can restore it for the minimal cost of CHF 35.-.
Enterprise Hosting for interactive websites
Our Enterprise Hosting offer is ideal for data-intensive web applications. We use high-performance server systems for a limited number of clients only. Your website resides on an isolated Vserver environment where individual requests for specific versions of MySQL, PHP or other software can be accommodated.
