Since yesterday our operations team has two new members: Antonios Tsianakas started as a Linux Operations Engineer and Patrik Hofer as Head of Operations at nine.ch.
Antonios has several years of experience in system administration and knows nine.ch already for quite a long time as a customer. He is a linux fan and completes the existing team with his cheerful personality and a high customer orientation ideally.
As part of the operations team, Antonios will be responsible for the daily tasks to ensure the smooth operation of all our server systems. Additionally he supports and advises our customers with all technical matters and also sets up new systems for our customers. During the first weeks he will be introduced to all tasks by his „godfather“ Patrick Hunziker. Later on he will also take part in the 24-hour-on-call service to make sure, that the whole infrastructure runs smoothly also outside office hours.

Patrik Hofer holds a diploma as „Betriebsökonom“ (MBA) and has many years of experience in executive positions at different IT companies. Thanks to his extensive experience in project management, marketing, sales as well as employee development and team management he is a very good match to the existing team of department heads.
As Head of Operations he is responsible to ensure the smooth operation of our infrastructure 24x7, for the service excellence in our customer service, the on-time delivery of customer orders as well as the management of a team of 8 employees. Additionally he is part of the board of department heads which is responsible for the operational management at nine.ch. We are convinced that he will - thanks to the support of his deputy Tim Grethler - find his way in his new responsibilities quickly.
