nine.ch successfully recertified in accordance with ISO 9001:2015

nine.ch’s strong focus on excellent and customer-oriented services as well as the operation of high-availability managed platforms requires the ongoing and sustainable adaptation of internal processes and quality management. To effectively incorporate this continuous improvement process in the company, we have been running a total quality management system for three years now. Thanks to the successful ISO 9001:2008 certification in 2013, it was also shown that the processes are in place and comply with all requirements of the internationally recognised standard.

A certificate is nevertheless only valid for three years and must be renewed thereafter. This renewal was due this year and we took the opportunity to have our management system revised and assessed according to the requirements of the latest version of ISO standard 9001:2015.

Two external auditors thus thoroughly inspected nine.ch for two days in early August. The audit was carried out by the Swiss certification body – Swiss TS Technical Services AG. The objective of this audit was, firstly, the aforementioned recertification in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 and, secondly, monitoring of our ISO 27001:2013 certificate.

In preparation for the audit, the auditors first checked our documents. They are located in our internal Wiki, which is a central part of our daily work. This way, we make sure that these documents are integrated into our daily routine and are used regularly.

During the two days in our office, the auditors then had us show them the processes described in the documentation. To this end, they interviewed management, department managers and employees, who explained workflows to them and presented the requisite evidence. All respondents were provided with corresponding feedback without delay.

The good news arrived right after the two intensive days: Nothing prevents recertification in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 and the audit of our information security management system (i.e. ISO 27001:2013) was also successful.

We are very excited to have once again received recognition for our quality management system!
