Nine provided the expertise, training and optimisation. Through workshops, consulting, and their Kubernetes service stack, built atop GKE, Nine helped Clicktime find the right solutions and processes to allow them to keep focus on their application.

The challenge

More than 20,000 users access the platform to track and plan their time for their companies – around 3000 users are added each year. The ability to scale up fast as the load arises is key. Availability of the system is crucial, not to forget that many of the customers of Clicktime have strict requirements of data protection.

The solution

Clicktime was one of the first customers of Nine’s managed GKE offer. Nine’s unique service on top of Kubernetes, allowed seamless monitoring, continuous deployment for applications with ArgoCD, and backup of resources with Velero. Also Nine’s offer of proactive support helped Clicktime to run their applications more efficiently on Kubernetes.

The results

Clicktime was enabled to scale very fast, to enjoy the benefits of a highly available platform and to be able to deploy their applications without minding the details of running Kubernetes. Nine also actively supports Clicktime in the use of best practices of containers and Kubernetes as their user base continues to grow.
